This is the first class that I know I will be leaving with so much more knowledge than I came. Some of my classes have seemed repetitive of what I learned during my Business Management degree, and that can get a little bit old. Because this type of writing is a struggle for me, I was so glad we had a professor who was very thorough in our grading. Although getting critique can be disheartening, it forces me to try better next time and to prove to myself I will get it right. I hope others in the class were able to get as much out of this class, as I have.

The projects we had to do throughout this class were very interesting. I found myself getting invested in the topics I was researching. I think that is what has allowed me to stay positive through a class that I found fairly challenging. When I am challenged, I tend to over critique myself which leads to stress, but when I let myself focus on the work and the companies or organizations I was writing about helped.

Reaction 1

This class has been difficult for me. My strengths do not include technical writing for copy. Thankfully, with the great feedback, I will hopefully get better. It has not been easy for me to accept the fact that I am not great at something. I tend to be a perfectionist, and through this class I have learned to take each assignment and try and do a little better than the last. I have found that I have needed to put in more hours than I have used to in the past. Which has forced me to re-examine my time management skills. So, even though this class has caused some stress, I think my experience was very positive.
